Using it to connect a pair of old 2.1 channel speakers to my TV when my computer is in use. This provides audio to the left and right speakers before with a splitter I only got audio to the left speaker. Very happy!

Trying to hook up my old 5.1 pc sets with the HDTV, don't wanna spend the money on a receiver, only want save my speaks from wasting. If you are like me , this is THE one product you need to buy. I am surprised why others don't come up with this kind of stuff.

It does what it has to do. The highs [treble] seemed to be "muffled" or cut off. When hooked up to a PC [without the adapter] they sound perfect. Plus you will not get true 5.1 Surround from a converter that converts from 2 channels to 5.1
Another downside is that the volume doesn't go up very high, even at the highest peak it doesn't sound like a true home theater [it's different on your PC they go louder] Overall it works fine and does what it has to do.

If you're looking for true surround sound don't look here. All this does is give u the same two channel stereo through all your speakers. It's a cheap way to get louder sound. To the untrained ear it may seem like surround sound. If money is tight and you already own a logitech system for your pc it's a great way to get by for a little while.
