Does what it's supposed to do        Rating:

I used this so that I could still get sound while hooking up my PS3 to my monitor. Connected my PS3 to the DVI switch via HDMI cable + HDMI/DVI adapter and then used the AV multi out cable (with the yellow, red, and white plugs) for sound. Connected this adapter to the white and red cables, and then connected the other end to my headphones. Works perfectly fine.

Cable works exactly like you would expect it too. Great companion to XBox 360 VGA cables.

Perfect adapter        Rating:

I'm using this cable as an alternative to buying an expensive headset, such as a Turtle Beach, just to use in Modern Warfare 2. I hooked this up to the RCA cable coming from my PS3 and attached it to my Hi-Fi Headset. The sound quality is just amazing. I'm not sure if it's from the cable or from the headset, but it really delivers spectacular sound. This cable is also a great alternative to buying a female RCA-male stereo and then connecting a coupler (this was my original plan).

There are, however, two things I have a small complaint about. It's nothing that doesn't allow this to retain its 5-star value.
1) The cable's short. It's only 6 inches, which might not be far enough for a few people connecting headsets or earphones.
2) When I first plugged the stereo jack of the headset in, the connection felt loose. You really have to apply some pressure to secure the connection between the two.

Handy and hard to find.        Rating:

This particular item, being FEMALE 3.5mm to FEMALE stereo rca, is reasonably hard to find; it's also ideal for connecting hardware with rca audio out directly to the 3.5mm plug on multimedia speakers. While using this item for that purpose myself, I have not noticed any sound issues such as cracking or distortion.

So if your 360/PS3 is connected to a monitor without audio, or if the built-in speakers on your flat panel TV suck, then this adapter is a great way to get audio from stereo speakers. Keep in mind that the speakers being used will need to have their own power source.

Hard to find        Rating:

This is a very hard to find product, and this is one of the better priced ones out there. The competition that I found required at least a purchase of two. So it was nice not to have to buy more than one when I didn't need more than one.
